Barcode - Instant City
We were approached by Arvinius+Orfeus Publishing to come up with a concept and design a book for the Barcode Project, a re-development of the former dock and industrial land Bjørvika, central Oslo. In the masterplan each building had to be different, both in size/height and choice of materials. To conceptualize that idea we let the graphic elements in the book be fluid and varied. We also wanted to highlight the big idea about the spaces in between the building, the place where the area comes to life. We had photographer Anne-Stine Johnsbråten document for 24 hours with the brief to show the people rather than just the architecture.  Author: Hans Ibelings
